Creative Buildings and Gardens are a father and
son team who were established in June 2006.
Barry Rigg (the Father) has been a builder for 49 years and started his
apprentices for W H Ainsworth in 1958. This lasted for seven years. After
this time, Barry was let loose on the world. In 1966 Barry went to Australia
(he never was a fan of football) as a £10 tourist and worked there as a
builder for ten years before returning to Kendal.
Since returning to Kendal, Barry has worked throughout the British Isles.
As well as working on general house building and renovations, Barry has also
worked on the round house on Bell Isle, built heavy duty gunnery ranges for
the MOD and even brick lined an industrial gas fired boiler. It is fair to
say that Barry’s building experience is both varied and extensive.
Kendall Rigg (the Son) has worked within the landscape industry for the last
